3D Printing Design of Architects

This project is the same as the Monopoly Architect AR project, a proof-of-concept AR board game design. The AR game design documentation could be found on the AR Design section.

This design review here focuses on the 3D printing process and its experience.

The Greatest Architects

Although I'm a product and UX designer, I'm a big fan of architecture design. I want to utilize the 3D printing design and technology to pay my tributes to the greatest architects in the world.

The Greatest Architects

Project Introduction

I modeled the architects and their renowned architectures in 3D, then printed out the architects as board game tokens, meanwhile, used AR technology to present the architectures virtually.

Project Introduction

Ideation Sketching

I did a lot of pen and paper sketching in order to explore the design opportunities and details for this project.

3D Modeling: Architects

For the proof-of-concept purpose, I modeled Frank Lloyd Wright, Philip Johnson, Antoni Gaudi's Casa Milà chimney, and the magic illustrator M.C. Escher, as 3D characters for printing.

3D Modeling: Architectures

I also 3D modeled their most famous architectures, and used them for the Augmented Reality content.
